What it does

Everything you need to catch your bus.

Every bus, live on one map

Watch the whole Halifax fleet move in real time, streamed to your screen the instant positions update — no refreshing, no guessing.

Times that are right when it counts

GPS-tracked arrival predictions for any stop — accurate to about a minute as your bus approaches, not a static timetable guess.

Proven against the real world

A background collector scores every prediction against actual GPS arrivals — so our accuracy is measured, not claimed.

Handles the messy feed for you

Smart data-quality checks quietly fix stale feed fields and drop bad GPS fixes, so you see trustworthy times instead of garbage.

Save your stops

Star the stops you use daily and get live arrival cards the moment you open Nimbus — with custom Home, Work and School pins.

Alerts that matter to you

Detours and closures, auto-refreshed and filtered to the routes and stops you actually ride, with a live badge so you never miss one.

Routes and full timetables

Browse every route with stops grouped by direction, plus Today and Tomorrow schedules for any stop when you're planning ahead.

A native app, too

Nimbus also ships as a mobile app, built mobile-first for tracking on the go — at feature parity with everything on the web.

Installs like an app (PWA) Colour-coded by direction 13 themes, incl. night-vision Finds stops near you

The honest part

Accurate to about a minute — measured, not claimed.

Plenty of apps promise real-time. Nimbus proves it. A background data collector and a live quality-control harness continuously score every prediction against the buses' actual GPS arrivals — the same engine runs the app and the measurement, so the numbers you see are the numbers we stand behind.

Where we won't oversell.

Estimates 15–20 minutes out are rougher, and run a little optimistic — real-world delay isn't fully knowable that far ahead. We show those honestly rather than pad them, and they sharpen as your bus gets close.

~1 min

Median error as your bus approaches, across multi-hour weekday samples of hundreds of completed trips.

−12%

Lower error than our previous model — and −24% on longer trips — validated on a held-out test split.

Every prediction, scored against real arrivals — continuously, in the background, week after week.

Where it's headed

One city today. Room for many.

Nimbus is built city-agnostic from the ground up. Halifax came first — and it has our full attention. Calgary is the next city we've got our eye on. No dates, no promises: just the map we'd like to grow into.

More Canadian cities

The system's built to grow beyond one city. If it earns its keep, more can follow.
